1973 - Became friends with Alex Campbell - Big Daddy.

1975 - Germany - "The Creelers"

with Gary Stuart Kitchen.

1976 - London - BBC Paris Studios, played for Alexis Korner.

1977 - Recorded first solo album

 "Scottish Folk Entertainer" - Autogram.

1979 - Canada - "Harrigan, That's Me".

1980 - Canada  - hosted weekly television programme "Just Folk" for QCTV; guests included Dougie MacLean, Tannahill Weavers, John Allan Cameron.

1983 - Recorded second album "On The Road" for Country House Records, produced by Robin Hall.

1984 - Oslo, Norway - played/met with Tommie Joe White & Southern Cooking from Alabama.  Piano player was called Jimmy Glasgow. 

1984 - Glasgow Patter Competition compere, Glasgow International Folk Festival.

1985 - 86   In the movies....

1987 - Glasgow - wedding party gatecrashed by Harvey Keitel.

1989 - 96  Director, Glasgow International Folk Festival.

1990 - Glasgow - with Lonnie Donegan on Glasgow Green.

1991 - Edinburgh Festival Fringe - with Walter McCorrisken

"The World's Worst Poet & The World's Worst Folksinger".

1992 - Glasgow - met Derroll Adams at long last;   Allan Taylor, Rab Noakes, Wizz Jones and Billy Connolly joined Derroll and Charlie  onstage.

1993 - Recorded "Madame Bonaparte" live album with his good friend and concertina player Gordon Hotchkiss.

1994 - California - met Ramblin' Jack Elliott; introduced to Will Geer's daughter, Ellen, up in Topanga Canyon in the Hollywood Hills.

1995 - Glasgow - got drunk with Ramblin' Jack Elliott in Charlie's  home town - Jack sang, "I Belong To Glasgow" at Glasgow Folk Festival'95.

1996 - Recorded "Jura Celidh Band" at CaVa Studios for KRL.

1997 - Recorded "A Trip to Cape Breton " at Lakewind Sound Studios, Cape Breton, with Jerry Holland & JCB (Jura Ceilidh Band) for KRL.

1997 - Lorient Festival Interceltique with Jura Ceilidh Band

(Archie McAllister, Davie MacDonald, Ross Kennedy and Charlie).

1998 - 2015 ..... leading a quiet life and discovered boats; became Commodore of the Royal Scottish Motor Yacht Club.

2016 - Recorded "Wasted and Wounded" CD for Medicine Hat Records

2016 - Recorded  hit single "Morning Train" for Medicine Hat Records

2019 - Recorded "Le Cowboy Ecossais" EP for Medicine Hat Records.

2020 - Stripped and ready for action...........






Currently working on a new recording featuring songs by the likes of Glasgow's very own Frankie Miller, Canada's Murray McLauchlan and Utah Phillips.
